Salling - Aarhus

Great place to be, great service. Got a table right away, it didn't take long before we were served our food. Incredibly cozy and a fantastic view. We will come again.

When I recently visited the Salling Rooftop in Aarhus, I was greeted by one of Denmark's most impressive city panoramas. Located on the Salling department store, the roof terrace offers breathtaking 360 degree views of the city and is an absolute highlight for every visitor to Aarhus. As soon as you enter the rooftop terrace, you can tell that a lot of emphasis has been placed on a harmonious ambience. The various areas, such as green oases, art installations and cozy lounge areas, invite you to linger. Particularly impressive is the glass Skywalk platform, which floats 27 meters above the Strøget pedestrian street and rewards brave souls with a unique view. The service at Salling Rooftop is first class. Whether you're enjoying a light meal, a Starbucks coffee or one of the exquisite cocktails, the staff is always friendly and attentive. The selection of food and drinks leaves nothing to be desired from delicious smørrebrød and juicy burgers to fresh salads and sweet desserts, there is something for every taste. Particularly noteworthy is the Roofgarden, which opened in 2022. This green oasis in the middle of the city not only offers relaxation, but also works of art by well known artist Jeppe Hein and a unique sound installation by Marie Højlund. The different levels and walking paths make the Roofgarden a perfect place for a little break. In addition, events and concerts regularly take place on the Salling Rooftop, which ensure a lively atmosphere. From DJ performances every Friday to special events like jazz and food festivals, there's always something going on here. Overall, the Salling Rooftop deserves a full five star rating. It's a perfect place to experience the beauty of Aarhus from a new perspective while indulging in culinary delights.
