"Came here in June after a long absence, visited again on the 15th of October for Saturday Lunch, and found that to my horror(at first) that it had changed hands. New paintings on the walls (of local places), new table cloths and napkins, new cutlery, but I was delighted to find the wait staff, were the same, and remembered us, the young tall waiter who took my wine order, just said(in French) " Do you want the Graves, Chateaux La Croix, again? Now that's what I call good service,.The menu has changed, but for the better, some times the combinations the previous chef did,didn't quite work, now they are perfect . No a la carte menu but, 4 set menus at 30, 35, 48 and one that changes frequently. We had the 35 one, Foie Gras with stripes of pain d,epice (gingerbread) in it and a marvellous freshly made fruit chutney, excellent. I then had Turbot fillet, beautifully cooked on a mound of mashed potato and celariac, encircled by a good amount of truffle sauce, brilliant and was delighted to given a proper sauce spoon/knife, to cut with and scoop up the delicious sauce. We don't have them in the UK. My chum had a delicious hunk of Charolais, cooked perfectly. Deserts were equally as good, a huge rum baba with fruit and cream and a glass of rum to pour over and soak into the sponge. I had red wine marinated figs, roasted and served with home made ice cream, all in all, a wonderful meal. I spoke to the new owner Adeline, who told me that she and her chef husband had moved down to Favieres from Boulogne in June, they ran the "Table de Nicholas" there. When we came here in June, there were only 9 other diners there, this time 40, and all French, which speaks for itself, and they also had 20-30, in another room for a family birthday meal. If you are going there on a Saturday, I would advise an early booking, it opens at noon for lunch. The service we had was excellent, but for people who came in later, the service slowed down a bit.,I can,t wait to go there again!"

"De bons mangeurs, nous attendions notre diner avec impatience. Cadre sympa et agréable. On ne vous donne pas de carte mais il semblerait qu'il y ait plusieurs plats différents.Belle planche et belle présentation des produits de notre hôte. 14,9€ par personne avec 1 verre de vin, verre de vin supplémentaire à 5€.Une petite salade d'accompagnement a été ajoutée sur la planche, au détriment (peut être) d'un peu plus de charcuterie, dommage. Mention particulière à la tomme fleurie, un vrai délice!En dessert, faisselle ou glace, pourquoi pas un bon fromage blanc (pour ceux, comme moi, n'aimant pas la faisselle) ou, allez, poussons un peu plus, une assiette de fromages... histoire de rassasier les plus gourmands... En résumé, une planche pour 3 nous aurait, je pense, satisfaits."

"Bonoir, I'm writing this hot comment when we got out of the restaurant when I talk to you. We were very welcome, nothing to say. We've been offered a little mouth water that lets us desire. We need to know that the mouth showers offered by restaurants are usually foods that stimulate appetite, but small dry leaflets, that is not what makes you want and it does not highlight the quality of the restaurant. about drinks, a Coca-Cola I find it absurd, a coca remains a coca, no matter what the restaurant, personally he shocks me. Moreover, even if it is a restaurant called gastronomic, the dishes are very good but not worth their prices, the price quality ratio is a bit disappointing. If I had to be a little demanding on the dishes we chose, I would only have one thing to say about the snails presentation, which said they were very good. very qualitative desserts! To sum up, this restaurant contains classic dishes like grandmother’s cuisine, it’s not a restaurant where you’ll find a fried burger and that’s what gives the originality to this restaurant. The dishes are good, a little expensive, the staff is very pleasant and I would also like to note that the background music is really good despite these small details, I strongly recommend this restaurant!"

"The Menu at this restaurant offered outstanding value, with a choice of 4 starters and 5 mains . We had ,6 oysters , mussels in a wonderful sauce with fries , and a choice of any desert on the A La Carte menu . It was delicious and only cost €25 euros plus a 50cl carafe of Chardonnet house wine at €10. The service was also very fast friendly and efficient . The town of St Valerie is very beautiful by the sea and the Somme estuary and also very historic . A great place for walking ."
