I've eaten here too many times and never written a review. Best Carne guisada burritos anywhere. I am never disappointed with the breakfast burritos or tamales....

I like la Popular. Their food is good, and their kitchen looks very clean. Their burritos are not as generous as Hernandez bakery on Oak st though.

"Was served hard bread. Pita chips served with spinach dip were burned. Hardly any beans at all in the figoli soup. Salad had big Ole chunks of lettuce an wilted lettuce in it. Waitress acted like she did not care to do her job. Never smiled. Acted like she wanted us to hurry and leave as if she had something important to do. Watched other wait staff and they were smiling and chatty while waiting on their tables."
