I had my engagement celebration here on Valentine's Day, and it was the perfect choice. The service from the staff was outstanding, and the food was excellent. What Shelly Whelan doesn't like about Monte Cristo:
Rude staff, think he was the manager, served cheese on a tomato pasta dish when a diary allergy was stated. Booked 4 weeks in advance for 7 adults, we added one child age 6 and what a problem this was. Allocated a very small table, which after a confrontation we was given a “add on” table. Haven't been here before, got vouchers for Xmas, so we tried it, it's a good place for families, but not cosy dinners for two, food was good though

The food was outstanding. The spinach and salmon penne was the best pasta dish I've had at a restaurant in years. The staff were friendly and engaging, and the food service was both efficient and prompt. I will definitely be returning. Service: Dine-in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £20–30
