What Інна Броварчук doesn't like about Town Friar:
The fish and chips were disappointing as they did not come with the requested sweet potato fries. The regular fries had no taste and were limp. The fish portions were large but the batter was soggy and needed to be removed. The oil used seemed old and the fish was rubbery and hard, almost tasting as if it had been frozen. Overall, not the best fish and chips I've had. However, the owner was friendly and welcoming. View all feedback. What Floy Sporer likes about Town Friar:
Excellent old style fish and chips made fresh and wrapped in their box. Doesn't look like much but have been here numerous times. Portions are great, staff are friendly. View all feedback.

read moreThe Town Friar in Acton offers a classic fish and chip experience, with many customers praising the generous portions and friendly staff. While some find the batter lacking in flavor or the oil outdated, others enjoy the freshly made, quality dishes, such as halibut and poutine. The establishment may appear run down, but the cleanliness is commended, and the owners are described as beautiful and welcoming. With specials like two halibut dinners for $21, The Town Friar provides a satisfying meal, making it a recommended spot for those craving traditional fish and chips in Acton.
