What Shelly White doesn't like about Sam's Southern Eatery Ada:
The place was incredibly dirty. There?s a layer of grime on the salt, pepper, and ketchup bottles. The tables were dirty, and the fans that surround the place were coated in at least 2 inches of dust and build up. Our waitress never checked on us, got us refills, or boxes. We had to get up and service ourselves. The shrimp was good but not worth getting sick from the uncleanliness of the restaurant. View all feedback.

Dirty carpet kinda makes it hard to eat and makes one wonder what the kitchen looks like. They use some kind of pine cleaner spray on EVERYTHING that overpowers...

"First, the high points: quick and friendly service, great bar menu, excellent festive decor. Second, the low point: the food was only meh. I ordered coctel de camarones. It came served in a bowl like soup, which surprised me, but was still totally fine, but, the taste was not to my liking. It tasted very sweet with a syrupy citrus taste, almost like it had an orange soda base. It was not the worst thing I've ever eaten, but I definitely would not order it again. I also had a side of guacamole, which was good enough, not excellent, but no complaints. My husband had carne asada with camarones. It looked excellent; however, he said it was only okay--except the shrimp which he really liked. My niece had a super burrito, which also looked awesome, but she also said it was only okay. Today was not a stellar visit, but since the service was so good and because I really think we may have come on an off day, I would totally try this restaurant again, but I would definitely try another entree."

"Went in ordered to go. Based everything on that. I ordered The Lineman or whichever one is a 3meat/2 sides. I also got a large ½ ½ sweet tea. The tea was warm (fresh brewed fine just extra watered down as the ice was essentially melted before I even left the restaurant. Food was very quickly made to order. Coleslaw bland no color no flavor Okra beyond deepfried soggy over cooked at the same time see picture for crush proof example! Chopped brisket pretty sure this is 101 w/the smoked meat community and THIS ....idk how any awards were won, a $0.50 Dentymore microwave meal has a better flavor texture Hot link only redeeming selection because it's got enough heat to cover up the brisket. Pork ribs fall off the bone got that part right...my piece of jerky was a bit lacking though... Sorry, but I CAN and I HAVE smoked FAR SUPERIOR cuts than this...the best thing about this meal was that it only took $25 for me to know that I do it better.
