This place is a true gem. It is a staple around these parts. Monday is lemon ice cream is awesome. Shirley is the best! She also sells farm fresh eggs I believe now they are like 250 a dozen but the best eggs that I've ever had and I have tried several farm fresh eggs places around here. This is a must go to in the town of Adair. Many generations have taken there kids and grandkids to this place. My husband grew up coming here as a kid and now we are taking our grandchildren here. There is not enough space to say all the great things about this place.

Get the corn nuggets!!!! They are so yummy and the ice cream shakes were awesome too!

Located a stones throw off of I-80 exit 76 just on the north side of the interstate. This is a wonderful little place for a leg stretch and an ice cream fix! We find the hours a little spotty as this location can be seasonal however it's summertime and they are open for business! Same owner for over 43 years this cute spot offers more than just ice cream such as malted, milkshakes, burgers, fries, and all the associated fixings you would expect of a soda fountain/ice cream parlor operation. A little hard to fine as it's actually behind the Casey's gas station and the Dollar Store. The yellow building is very simple on the outside, but cute as anything on the inside. A little soda fountain counter and booths allow for indoor seating. Note that this is a cash only establishment so be ready with some greenbacks if you stop in for some food. We stop in here just about every time we pass through Adair and get their signature twist ice cream cones and sundaes. Not great for the waist line but definitely good for your spirit! Can't go wrong with this little shop as a must stop in your journey through Iowa
