What User likes about Taylors Fish:
at lunch for haddock chips. paid (only cash) and received a 7-minute eta (very precise). 7 minutes later returned and rubbed into a perfectly cooked broken haddock. the teig was not fat, it was light and almost subtle sweet. the chips were great. although I really didn't need them to lunch. but it is traditional! great service. great food. The fries were good and a great value for the money. The fish and chips were disappointing - very greasy with soggy batter, and they didn't offer mushy peas or curry sauce. The staff was very rude to customers, which was unpleasant. Overall, it wasn't amazing but it also wasn't terrible - you know what to expect when you go there. View all feedback.

read moreTaylor's Fish Bar offers a mixed dining experience with solid haddock and chips, friendly service, and traditional fare, but also lackluster sausage and cash-only policy. While some find the food greasy and tasteless, others rave about the quality and freshness of the fish. Service can be quick and efficient, but staff may come off as rude due to a busy and popular establishment. Despite some negative reviews, many loyal customers appreciate the consistently good food and advise patience during peak hours. With a varied range of opinions, Taylor's Fish Bar deserves a try to form your own judgment on this longstanding local favorite.
Under cooked chips, Fish batter swimming in fat and the crispy onion rings were like a sponge with enough fat to fill a wok.
