This place was really busy with French natives, a good sign! Menu was broad, food was very good and the difficulty in getting service was down to the crowd as, when we did attract staff they were friendly. Worth a look. View all feedback.
What Chadrick Flatley doesn't like about O 2 Freres:
Some of the entrées were good, some mediocre and the rest followed suit, right through to the service and the situation of the restaurant. To be fair, the situation is not helped by the work currently being carried out nearby and the fact that the...skies were grey. And in all fairness friends of ours have eaten several times here and been satisfied, so it is probably a question of taste and chance. View all feedback.
Firstly, we are not holidaymakers so that the Brasserie o2 freres is our local and next restaurant and we could therefore be a bit biased. We have always found the staff pleasant and helpful, even in their busiest times and the food is excellent. Of course, the products are of the highest quality, like the finished dishes. Remember to book in advance in the summer months as the restaurant is very busy.
I had Lasagne and I didn't like it. My husband had Moule Friten and didn't enjoy her. The service was good. We just had better food and paid a little less elsewhere.
Two times on the last trip to France to O 2 freres. Menu dinner was good food way, and was reasonable price-performance ratio. The place was very busy in the evening after about 1930. Only what it left at dinner was the waiting staff.... All Bar One was miserable. Breakfast was a menu for about 7 euros. Doesn't sound good, but croissant and bread were big and delicious, like cafe cream. Wait staff much nicer for breakfast. And the toilets were really clean
Great restaurant, very helpful staff. Specials of the day were good value for money. Very accommodating when seating a large group. Including providing crayons/picture for the toddler with us. Nothing fancy, just good French food, served in a nice atmosphere. close to the beach, also...able to people watch as the Place du Mole is a very active place. Went here twice last year, once with just 4 of us, then 7. Mussels to die for!!
The attitude of some of the waiting staff was the rudest I've ever encountered. The elderly waitress took it upon herself to shout at my 84 year old aunt for getting up from our table five minutes after our starters arrived to ask for some...bread for our table. When one of our party took it upon herself to question this outrage , the waitress again started shouting at us. Never experienced such offensive disrespectful behaviour in a restaurant.
