Incredibly delicious. As you have read on previous reviews the food may take some time, but it will be worth the wait. The staff is welcoming and very attentive of you. View all feedback.
What Carlos Rivera doesn't like about El Borikuazo:
It makes me very sad, I always support ours, but it was the first time during the summer time and the last time that I go to this restaurant because I have to drive 1 hour and 40 minutes to this restaurant. The waitress was not bilingual, I believe she was not familiar with the menu and looks confused. The food wasn't too bad but it could have been much better. My wife ordered a soup and she couldn't eat it, because... View all feedback.

The food was so delicious, full of flavor, and beautiful. The staff was kind and attentive. Atmosphere was wonderful and simplistic. We live out of town and had gone to that area for an event so we didn 't know restaurants around there. Google maps gave me El Borikuazo as a restaurant near me and we decided to give it a try. We were so glad we did! We got cubed plantain appetizer that has mamposteo rice with it, Soursop juice to drink, entrees were Land Sea (skirt steak/passion fruit BBQ glazed shrimp/fried sweet plantains/salad), Chicken El Borikuazo (chicken/sauce/Shrimp/salad/Mamposteo rice), and El Borikuazo sandwich with fries. We all shared bites and couldn 't pick a favorite because each was amazing for different reasons!

Food was delicious!! That is the El Borikuazo sandwich in the pic. Garlic Chicken Mofongo and pork chops were all great!
The food full of flavor, and inviting for the eyes. The staff was kind and as attentive as they can be with only one person running front of house and one person cooking. (Numerous signs in restaurant online about them hiring, spread the word for those looking for work). Restaurant was clean and well decorated. We got cubed plantain appetizer that has mamposteo rice with it, Soursop juice to drink, entrees were Land Sea, Chicken El Borikuazo , and El Borikuazo sandwich with fries. We all shared bites and enjoyed it all. Went back months later. Same experience. If there is a better sandwich out there, I aint had it yet!
