This fungus grows in deciduous and coniferous forests, and in tree plantations. It's my favorite mushroom and I discovered them in this restaurant. They put them in almost everything they cook, and I found them in gnocchis, scampi, and tagliatelles with foie gras. We strolled in to this restaurant from the street without checking its T.A reviews. Big mistake. The wine was reasonably priced and fairly nice. To start we tried to order bruschetta to be told there was no bruschetta available at all. Not a problem we decided to just go for a main. The dining area of the restaurant is equipped with chairs / tables, and there's a counter where you can sit down and taste. If the weather are right, you can also be served outside.
