"Chili Verde is a smaller restaurant in Ajijic. The food has homemade flavors and the menu has really special, specialties. They even make their tortillas. It is popular because the food tastes fantastic and is about half the price it should be. Do not leave this little piece of culinary heaven."

"Overpriced for what you get. Stay away from the steaks. Had rib-eye tortillas and it was anything but rib-eye and was very bland!! Hamburgers on the other hand are (along with those of Huerto Cafe 's) the best in town. As far as the market is concerned: ONLY gringos shop at this very well stocked store presumably because they want their own food/brands. Consequently most items are EXTREMELY over-priced!!!"

"Great food, great service, and great atmosphere! Spring rolls were very good. They had rice noodles instead of cabbage, which was really tasty. The tuna sashimi small plate was very fresh and complimented with wasabi and pickled ginger. I also really enjoyed the shrimp with cherry tomatoes in wine sauce with veggies and rice. Excellent meal!"

"The last time we were here it was under a different name, but was one of our favourites. It's now our new favourite! Salmon and salad, Tenderloin with mashed potato and asparagus, chicken parmesan and caprice salad with ahi tuna. All guests were really happy with their choices. The wine selection was great, the bread was non stop and the staff were wonderful. Our table had a slight wobble that was fixed immediately, and the staff brought our wine and let us enjoy the company of each other before we ordered our food. We had a reserved spot on the patio, but the inside of the restaurant was busy too."

"My Mom and I are staying at Casa Del Sol and decided to try this place for dinner tonight..we were greeted by Ricardo..he was very friendly and super attentive.. he even asked our names and said goodbye when we left. I chose the pumpkin flower soup..it was absolutely stunning..it was presented like we were in a Michelin star restaurant..but honestly all of the food was. I got the slow roast pork rib with pickled vegetables and a wonderful sauce. We had homemade tortillas. My Mom got the red snapper in a veracruze sauce with olives and capers..which was cooked to perfection . We had a few margaritas which were delicious and infused with cucumber..we even decided to do dessert Mom had coffee ice cream..I had the coconut flan..ok..there's flan..ok..boring..no ..not this..it was rich,creamy and such a deep flavor..we are in covid times..servers wore mask and sanitized customers hands. The restaurant was pretty busy with alot of regulars. Service was in minutes. To top it off..whats the worst part of the meal? Getting the check..not here..it comes in a decorated porcelain turtle..dinner was very resonable..and we are here a few more days and will go back before we leave.. thank you Ricardo and team for a wonderful dinning experience. "We went to Casa Domenech last night for dinner and had a terrific meal. Service was friendly and efficient. Our appetizers were outstanding....gazpacho, thick and flavorful and a spinach salad with peaches, prosciutto, and red onions. I could make a meal of those appetizers. But we also had shrimp entrees and they were both winners....shrimp with Mexican molé sauce and shrimp with a cilantro sauce. Shrimp were perfectly prepared, not rubbery and tough, but tender and juicy. And the sauces were perfect, bringing out the flavor of the shrimp, not overpowering them. We will be back."
