I have visited Akhaltsikhe many times, but I never knew that the restaurant inside Rabati Castle was run by Natenadze Winery, a famous winery in the Meskheti region! You can enjoy local dishes unique to the Meskheti region, such as escargot (snail-like snails) and Apophtis khinkali, as well as the wild natenadze wine, which is made from a grape variety unique to the Meskheti region. The worst restaurant I’ve ever been to. I’m not exaggerating, we were waiting for 2 hours for our order.
