"Gayarre is located on the road to the airport, on the outskirts of Zaragoza, and is very easy to reach (by car) and to find. It is surrounded by a manucured garden enclosed by a hedge and offers a shaded parking. The restaurant itself is composed of a main building and several adjacent rooms which extend its capacity. The main room sits some 15 tables and its decoration is elaborated and upscale, with the occasional picture of royalty members. Service is professional and experienced, slightly formal but not stiff. There is a 33 euro menu with the restaurant 's hits, including water and wine. We had 'borrajas con almejas ' (a vegetable with clams; do not miss this dish) and zucchini ravioli filled with black pudding (just three of them was a llittle mean); we followed with hake 'al Orio ' (with fried garlic; absolutely perfect) and lamb kidneys (well cooked, i.e. rosé inside) with rice. We finished with some chocolate 'fondant ' and mango sorbet as desert to top an excellent meal; we could not indulge in a (free) 'chupito de pacharán ' (small glass of cold pacharán, an anisette and sloe drink typical of Navarre) because we had to drive for a few hours after the meal. Once there we noticed that the restaurant caters to parties of (almost) any size. The garden has different settings available to dance, drink, relax and enjoy the company of your guests and there are several rooms of different capacities. The staff is composed of highly skilled professionals who do their job very well and are capable of handling weddings, anniversaries… This almost put us off; luckily it did not, as we would have missed an excellent place and a wonderful meal. Highly recommended."
