"We were there on a Sunday and there were lots of we tourists around. There was no set meal so we had to choose from the menu/carta. We had a salad, the leek and prawn mousse and the morteruelo which is, apparently, typical of the province then a main of roast lamb and pork for one of us and the solomillo for the other. No puddings just coffee and we had a couple of beers and a couple of glasses of wine. Nothing was particularly expensive 20€ for the steak, about 10, maybe 9€ for the salad but the whole lot came out at 40€ a head, 80€ for the two of us. Now that would have been fine if the food had been good. And it wasn't bad. The salad had too much creamy dressing and was a bit cold but it was OK, the morteruelo was a bit bland (but maybe it is) the leek and shrimp thing was a bit stodgy. The steak was good but my partner complained about the lack of meat in the duo of roasts. So it was fine. But it cost 40€ per person and it was menú del día sort of quality. The surroundings were fine too. It wasn't particularly attractive but it wasn't dirty or anything. The service was excellent. Well, they actually brought us the wrong food, but otherwise they were fast and efficient. Look around for the waiter and they would nod to show they'd seen you and be there a few seconds later."
