First time visiting amazingly small and spacious Italian grocery and restaurant shop in Delaware neighborhoods of Albany NY. I had Italian bread (homemade),Honey turkey,Mayonnaise ,Black pepper,Lettuce,White cheese ,Tomato,Little oil- vinegar on the side.Great location near community garden, a great public elementary school, most importantly a bus stop. Parking is spotty. Pricesare reasonable. Don?t hesitate to stop... View all feedback.
What Susan Stein doesn't like about Cardona's Market:
Frightfully expensive for most things. However... the sandwiches are insanely delicious and huge! My sweetheart and I usually split one between us. The hardest part is choosing which one to try next! Here's a tip there can be a significant wait so order online! So so easy! View all feedback.
This restaurant offers authentic Italian home-cooked dishes! The best dish is the chicken meatballs, they are delicious. They also have a wide variety of cheese options to choose from. The restaurant's atmosphere is cozy and warm.
Delicious sandwiches that will make your mouth water. The selection of cheese and desserts is fantastic! Truly a treasure.
I went to a sandwich shop with a friend from work and we ended up receiving the wrong order. The most frustrating part was that all the directions were written correctly on a piece of paper that was attached to my sandwich, but still the order was incorrect. When I called to try and fix the mistake, I was put on hold for 10 minutes and then abruptly hung up on after voicing my complaint. The person I spoke to on the phone had no solution and did not handle the situation politely. With such high praises for their food, you would think it wouldn't be so difficult for them to follow simple directions written on a sandwich. Disappointing experience overall.
I would recommend this restaurant, however, their staff cannot seem to get a sandwich order correct for the life of them. My sandwich is always prepared incorrectly. I am leaving this review in the hopes that they may improve in reading instructions. The food at this restaurant is the best in the city, but I am done ordering sandwiches from them.
I can't believe I've lived in this area for 15 years and today was my first time here! I had a weekday off and knew I would be in this area without kids, so I was looking for somewhere to have lunch. I was craving soup, so I decided to give this place a try. Street parking was easy to find and the staff were all so friendly and helpful. I chose a soup from the four options available and also got two prepared salads (broccoli salad and antipasto). I couldn't decide what to get from the hot bar, so I ended up ordering the chicken piccata with penne from the menu. Despite the busy atmosphere, the restaurant ran smoothly and efficiently. The food was amazing; I can't wait to come back and try something new next time!
