"Service was good. As the place got busier the server did his best to keep up and did a good job. He kept a frequent check on our table. The food was good. I had combo #8 with shrimp, sausage, dungeness crab, corn and potatoes. It was almost too much food for one person. My wife had chicken fingers and fries. Her meal was $11 but looked more like a kid's ???meal with just a handful of fries and four small nuggets (not fingers....nuggets). My daughter had chicken fingers and onion rings and she had more than she could eat. Looked like someone in the kitchen wasnt paying much attention to portion size. The restaurant was clean and spacious. Tables were not crowded into or around one another. The men's restroom was clean also. Only two things I didnt care for. First, the bar is right inside the main entrance. No way to get to the dining room without walking past the bar. Second, the music wasn't as loud when we arrived but later someone turned it up a lot and it was overbearing by the time we left."

"I recently ordered 2 chicken bacon sandwiches. The meat was extremely dry on both sandwiches or over heated. One sandwich had no mayo as requested nor tomatoes and the lettuce seemed to have been warmed up as well. I called and spoke with a manager and was told the meat may have been dry because it was cooked twice . I have had several sandwiches from Newks and I'm sure they are cooked the same way and not one has been dry or as hard as this meat was. It was not edible. I was told I could bring the sandwiches back to the restaurant and they would remake them but would use the same batch of meat so it would probably be the same. I live in Putney so that was not an option. It made no sense to drive 20 min back into town and the food would be dry again. The sandwiches should have never been given to us and they were not edible. The fact that the manager was like yeah I'm sorry but ......that is unacceptable when someone patronizes your business give them the service they are paying you for. If we were eating in the dining room those sandwiches would have never been served to us. I will not be returning."

"They are RACIST assffff. The food is ok but the customer service is HORRIBLE. THEY DO NOT WEAR HAIR NETS! The manager chastity was rude and didn’t want to replace my food! I’ve already sent cooperate a email and voicemail. This is my second issue in this store which is why I don’t eat here. Thanks for re-confirming that your business is trash."

"I got the pork steak and it was so tender and delicious I didn't even have to put sauce on it. The collard greens are always awesome and the salad bar was a great start."

"Place has a great vibe, the gentleman behind the counter was also great and the food is delicious; however, I've gone there twice now and both times got sick. The most recent visit was 2 days ago and my wife and I are still recovering. I went with my wife and 20 month old daughter after I got off of work, so it's the only food we all shared that day, so 100% sure the food poisoning was from here. We all got sick, including the baby who woke up 2am throwing up. The food tastes great and the atmosphere is enjoyable, but unfortunately we won't be back."
