Stopped in last night (9/10). I have never visited before but found the 'OK ' reviews here on Google. I was pleasantly greeted by a smiling Asian woman. I ordered the General Tso and an Chicken Egg Foo Young. I had about a 25 minute drive to get home and when I did, the food has still moderately warm and very tasty. What Chris doesn't like about China Cafe:
The salt and pepper shrimp did not fill the container. It's a fake-out with the shrimp on top of a bed of dry chow mein noodles to make it look like there's more than there is. Will not be ordering from China Cafe again. read more.

"One of my favorite light-lunchboxes in dc. they have in the ground themselves rice, nudel and or salat bowl with a southeast Asian flair. A.k.a dressings are more fish sauce and acid-based, which is delicious and refreshing, but still tasteful. when I first visited, I think it was one of the owners who worked the front so that there was a little more love in the salat than my new visit, but the employee helped me this time was still very friendly. the chicken salad is always a winner and they can choose how sharp they want it. they also have a series of vegan dressings and various protein options or even a kicherbsen curry when they look different. the star of my visit was this time the buttersemolina cake. this cache was so soft and creamy with a warm fat syrup, and the nuts and light texture of the smolina really works in this cake. an extremely decadent way to finish and otherwise light meal"
