The Greene Turtle Sports Grille Alexandria

Dining in the time of covid is definitely a different experience. Our waiter was good and the food was fine. I didn’t much extra cleaning or sanitizing being done. We ate outside under the tent. Will wait to return until after covid passes.

The only issue I had was that after making the reservation via Open Table, when we arrived at the Green Turtle, they claimed to no be taking reservations. Luckily, they were able to seat me and my party with no wait.

The service at this restaurant was not up to par. Multiple managers approached us to ask if we were waiting for something, and each time we were. Despite there being only 3 other occupied tables, the service was lacking. However, the managers did notice the issue and were very attentive. Unfortunately, the food was also disappointing. Both my wife and I agreed that the Buffalo chicken sandwich was very bland, which is surprising for a dish that is typically known for its bold flavors.

The service was excellent! The new management has made a noticeable difference.

I highly recommend this restaurant for sports, great beer, and trivia (pre-Pandemic)! The menu is fantastic and reasonably priced. I appreciate their support for military veterans.
