"Follow up review: despite a disappointing experience in the restaurant as noted below, Mike (owner) had sent us a follow up message to apologise and offered for damage control. To which, we really appreciate. My expectation for good restaurant would entails good food, lovely atmosphere, and thoughtful service. This Farmhouse is a very small restaurant, with only one long table available for everyone to share. Not much privacy. Jazz and candle helped with the atmosphere. At booking, I was told there will be candle prepared for birthday man. Not only they completely forgot, but when I mentioned to them in the end, no signs of genuine sorry was seen, it was a "oh I am sorry, it is $144 please". Terrible service. Entry was really lovely, main course was large, tasted ok, lots of fish bone, small but still quite unpleasant, and dessert was creative, can't say it was good. Overall, will never come back here for another celebration or anything."

"The milk bun with bacon and egg was incredible. The bun was so light it was really just a vector for ingesting yummy bacon and egg and the mayo had a nice heat and just added to the whole experience. Coffee was delicious. I love the way they used the wall opposite in the alleyway for street art and then repeated the motif on the pillar inside the bar area."

"Amazing find, nestled in on a cute street in Alexandria! When we arrived on Saturday eve the place was glowing in the dark...it looked so rich and warm and when we got inside it did not disappoint! We were welcomed by Dianne the lovely manager/owner! She offered help choosing wine and food and nothing disappointed...delicious wine and first class food! We left feeling extremely satisfied in every respect! Wonderful hidden gem....keep up the good work guys x"
