Stopped in when visiting Sydney with family, icy cold drinks in aged but tidy decor. The attached Asian restaurant is churning out some of the yummiest we have tasted, most for a tidy $12 and these plates are generous! Can see why it's popular midweek for locals or those working nearby, also do takeaway.Don't expect any mod cons here just an old pub with great drinks, food & a comfy chair to relax in. What User doesn't like about Glenroy Hotel:
Weird having an Asian restaurant in the middle of a very traditional Aussie pub. The food comes from various parts of south east Asia. It could use a bit more spice and wasn't served as warm as it should be, but it's tasty and fresh and the servings are very generous. We had the bamki goreng and a chicken laksa. The woman serving us was very friendly and attentive, and the price was reasonable. View all feedback.

I used to eat in this restaurant at least once every fortnight when I was living nearby. I love the Asian dishes they offer and the friendly staff. Their salt and pepper fish is marvelous! The mongolian beef and the king prawns with veggies are great as well. I still have dinner there when in the area, their flavours are truly great.
This place used to be great! Cheap, tasty and generous Chinese food. But since the new owners it's gone downhill overnight. Such a shame.
Take it from me. THIS PLACE IS EXCELLENT. Try their crispy shredded beef (ask for just a touch of chilli). The salt and pepper tofu is amazing.
