"From start to finish this was a dining marvel. The restaurant is situated in one of the most romantic cobbled side streets in the beautifully aesthetic historical centre of Alghero. We had a table right on the street so we could absorb the atmosphere. We chose the charcuterie board of local cheeses and cured meats to start which were so flavourful, the accompanying olives and artichoke hearts hit the spot too. To the mains, my wife went for one of the specials of the day. Fresh lobster with supremely handmade in house pasta in a flavourful fresh tomato sauce. The lobster was cooked perfectly, the flesh was sweet and with each bite took you to the sea. I went for the red snapper stuffed black(squid ink mixed in with the homemade pasta) ravioli, with two whole grilled prawns and a tomato based sauce. The ravioli was cooked supremely. The pasta had a bite to it and the snapper filling was soft and fresh. The prawns were grilled nicely, the sauce lightly poured over them paired nicely with the meat. Overall a spot on dish. I had my go to Italian digestive, limoncello which was nice and bitter yet smooth on the palate and throat. A lovely texture and you could tell it was of a very high quality. My wife had a lemon sorbet desert which helped cool her down with the outside temps souring at 36C. The sorbet was punchy and had a pleasant texture. The service was exemplary, from the recommendations, to the banter to the information he provided to us Alghero and Sardina novices we couldn’t ask for better service. I highly recommend dining in this beautiful trattoria if you come to Alghero."
