Really nice place on the strip in Cabo Roig. A glass of beer shandy for €1 and a pint of local beer for €1.50 during the happy hour between 1-7. Can't beat that! Also had a great band The Cages on one night. Definitely worth a visit. View all feedback.
What Alessandra Lozano doesn't like about Yo-lo:
Visited YOLO, a well decorated bar on The Strip. More upmarket than most bars in the area and while this is reflected in the prices it is still not too expensive. Friendly staff. Donnie Munro was performing on the night we visited, a skilful multi-instrumentalist with a good variety of tracks. However the first half was way better than the second, a long meandering madly of Comfortably Numb and Another Brick in the W... View all feedback.
Onion bhaji starter, followed by steak and chips, with tiramasu for pud. No complaints, and very reasonably priced. We had to move to the back once the band started though, it was painfully loud for us oldies. It isn't often you see a pub turn playing bagpipes, I loved that bit.
Went to Yo Lo a few times on holiday and it is one of the better ones on the so called strip in La Zenia . The food was always good , decent drinks and nice staff . Had entertainment every night , but beware not to take children on a Monday evening as there is a drag Queen called Stevie Spit who is funny but can't stop swearing , but most nights are good . Beware of drinks prices on the wall as they are only the price up until 7 or 8 P.M. then you have to pay another Euro for each . As with all bars on the strip , if you sit outside for drinks or meals your only yards from a busy dual carriageway . At night you are continually pestered by Men from Senegal selling a range of fake goods . Decent bar none the less .
They do food, but we only went for entertainment, rod Stewart tribute was brilliant , drinks were fine.
Conveniently situated beside the footbridge on the busy side of the Cabo Roig strip, this bar/restaurant is the ideal place to meet friends or just chill on your own with a quiet drink. It also has the added advantage at this time of year of being one of the few places open where you can also grab some early morning sunshine. The food menu has a reasonably decent selection with good value sandwiches and bocadillos. For me however the best value of all must be the pizzas. These are of the 12-inch variety priced at €5.95 irrespective of whether it’s a plain Margherita, Hawaiian, Pepperoni etc. While not overloaded they certainly are not stingy with the toppings. If you choose to go between 1.00pm and 7.00pm any day you can avail of “happy hour” which among other choices has pints of Cruzcampo at €1.50 or Heineken at €2.50. All in all, a decent lunch with beer for under €7.50!! Just one note of caution. On two occasions I was charged €2.80 for my pint of Cruzcampo despite being well inside the happy hour. Once brought to the server’s attention this was rectified without quibble. During subsequent visits however I have noticed other patrons querying their bills which suggests an element of carelessness at best. Otherwise enjoy!!!!
Uno de mis locales favoritos de Orihuela costa. trato amistoso del propietario y los camareros.
