the starts have a cut of and for the sympathy of the waiter and for eating. the place is really nice and I know that they are just beginning the season, and I think there is way for improvement in the food. View all feedback.
Really dissapointing experience for a beautiful place with great potential. We made a reservation for 9 people in the afternoon for dinner at 20:00. Table for us was prepared with 8 chairs but this happens. After about 1/2 hour we weren’t asked if we wanted a drink and hadn’t recieved the menu. The slow service was the bookmark of the evening. After asking for the menu we ordered a drink and soon after ordered a starter and main course. After ordering one of the waitresses came to our table to tell us some of us had to change their choice of the main course because they were out of stock. When asked which items were out of stock they did not even know what had to bo changed. After a lot of confusion 3 of us had to change their meal. The starters arrived in three different batches. The last one being served about two minutes before the main course of eveyone else arrived. The shrimp cocktail came with almost unpeeled shrimps which you had to peel off the head but the shrimp was drenched in sauce. The octopus was great as a starter as well as the goat cheese with honey also was very good in taste which has to be mentioned. Main courses were okay but not special in ang way. Main conclusion is that they probably were understaffed and weren’t aware of what their colleagues were doing. The location as well as the food and inside of the restaurant really have a lot of potential.
Sevice was incredibly slow. Asked for bread at least 4 times to go with our clams and octopus salad. After about an hour the only person that spoke English (allegedly? came and told me that they hadn’t understood because I pronounced PAO (bread! wrong seriously??? After this as bread was still not forthcoming we asked for the bill guess what, no bill however 15 minutes later some bread miraculously appeared. By this time we’d finished eating about 30 minutes earlier. As we left another member of staff approached us and spoke in perfect English. So much for only one member of staff speaking English “I am the only one who speaks English in the whole restaurant” he had said. Lovely setting but rubbish service food was ok but nothing special and there are plenty more places on this beach to eat at
