"Very nice country pub. Nice friendly welcome before being shown to our table. Couldn’t fault the service from the staff. We had previously dined in two other places near Alnwick but this was by far the best. The food was excellent. I had a superb seafood platter and my wife had the lasagne. With the size of the portions i was surprised we had a dessert but they were also very nice. On my next trip to Alnwick this pub will be first on my list for dining."

"As others have said, this is a big pub to visit and the vegan fish and chips is amazing. we also had to start the vegan gyoza and the boil soup that were delicious. eating is very expensive and the staff was very friendly and attentive. a must visit when they are in the opposite."

"Lovely. When we went in we were amazed it is so deceiving from the front. Had to book a table as it is so busy. The meal came with in 10 minutes, huge and piping hot. The beer is excellent and the staff can't do enough for you. Will we be coming back ? Definately."
