"Only back from an excellent meal in this pub. so a beautiful place with extremely friendly and efficient bar staff. eating is absolutely excellent, well cooked and the portions are extremely generous. we thought it was a great value for money and will definitely be back when we are next vacation in the opposite."

"What a lovely tea room with a large selection of loose leaf teas, that can also be bought in their tea shop. The tea ordered came with a timer so that you knew when it was properly stewed. The crumpets with honey were delicious. Everything was plastic free which was great to see, with honey in a dish with a metal spoon. Covid-19 measures are in place, this is one of the few establishments that actually check your temperature before seating you at a table. Fantastic traditional tea room well worth a visit if in Alnwick."

"I hate not giving a less than perfect review but unfortunately I have to be honest. The food was ok, but overpriced in my opinion. I had the platter for one and although I've seen some amazing reviews for this, it was a bit lack luster. Nice enough but very overpriced for what was on the plate. I had one and a half mussels out of six, they were empty shells in the pot. Two shells filled with prawns and crab. It looked big but really wasn't. The misses had the famous crab sandwich and although she said it was nice, she had 4 crips on the slate not plate and the tiniest salad ever seen. With one large Pepsi and one regular, at just shy of £48, very pricy. Great views though, and a must do I suppose while in Craster."

"We ordered two vegan appetizers, in which the croquettes are still frozen and the jackfruit nachos were very strange- simply tinted pieces of jackfruit, gherkins and salat scattered over tortilla chips with a sweet chili sauce. we sent the croquettes back and the staff was very apologetic and asked the kitchen to make another and did not blame us for it. the second charge of croquettes was hot, but bland. our main thing: my partner ordered the miserable and lemon glazed cauliflower steak, but could not eat it because it was too salty. the cauliflower was coated in pure nebula, making it unusable. the staff apologised and returned to the kitchen. there was a statement that there was another brand of miso. we just think the kitchen tastes the food they send out. the others were okay, but not great."
