The hype is worth it--Burgies is awesome. Locally owned and offering a HUGE menu and lots of local and craft beers, this is a total gem on the main drag in Alpena. Although the restaurant is a little on the small side, which can mean a wait, it is definitely worth it! The food was tasty, but when asked if something could be placed on the side instead of directly on the burger, apparently that was too hard for the kitchen to do. The waitress literally came out and said "the kitchen drew the line at placing the avocado on the side. Seriously.
