"Friendly staff with warm greetings on entry. Nice and quiet time to enjoy your lunch with a lot of sitting room. The Chipotle Mango Avocado Grilled Chicken and Shrimp was delicious. The guacamole carried the whole meal on its back. The chipotle sauce was a nice touch. Not strong enough on flavor to overpower the food. Just the right touch. Will go back again."

"I ate at Babette's waaay back when it first opened. Have been wanting to go back for years, but moved out of the neighborhood. When I heard she was closing after 30 years, I made it a point to go back. We really enjoyed our evening and dinner. It was late, so I brought most of mine home, but we made sure to get dessert!"

"F you live in Chamblee/Brookhaven and have not been to Southern Custard you are missing out not only on amazing custard but an amazing experience and amazing people. I have frequented Southern Custard multiple times. It is at a great location within walking distance from Blackburn park and some great restaurants. They always have vanilla, chocolate, and a flavor of the day which you can find out on their calendar. They also have TONS of topping to make different sundaes or milkshakes. I have never had a bad flavor combination ever. The custard is not just sugar you can actually taste the flavor of the custard or the mix-ins. If you have never had custard is it like the most amazing soft serve, it is super creamy but not as hard as ice cream. It is a great treat year-round. They are coming out with some really amazing fall flavors. I had the privilege of trying their sweet potato custard with pecans and caramel and it was unbelievable. Not only are you satisfying your sweet tooth but you are supporting a local business that employees some really amazing people. I posted on next door that I am a first-year Gwinnett county School teacher at a title-1 school and that I was collecting donations of Halloween decorations for our school's trunk or treat. My students had expressed that no teachers ever really participate in the event. Halloween is my favorite holiday and I want to make it special for them. The manager. Eric reached out to me and made a donation of decorations and donation for treats for my students. He was so kind and his generosity went above and beyond. I am so happy to be able to live in a community with such amazing people, local businesses, and food!"
