Al's Tavern - Altoona

Great food and atmosphere with attentive staff. My favorite menu item is the Louisiana style wings with a side of scorpion sauce. I highly recommend the barbecue wings with garlic.

Food was fantastic, fairly priced and the drinks were great! The bar tenders were fun and interactive. Really enjoyed our experience! Only complaint is that you can't smoke in the building, which I really enjoy chain smoking when I'm drinking.. but I also enjoyed that I didn't smell like a bar when I got home! So over all would highly recommend but also wouldn't buy too many drinks because I had to step out every time I wanted a smoke.

Awesome service! The staff members made me something that wasn't even one the menu just because I wanted it. The bartender even put blueberries,in my blueberry wheat beer which nowhere,else does!

I really enjoyed the selection of beer on tap! The bar staff is friendly and the wings are fantastic!

I worked there 20 plus years and it's absolutely my favorite place to eat! Food is outstanding and service is second to none! Kudos to carrying on the tradition! Can't say enough about the food and service! 5 stars! Thanks Al Sr.,Al Jr., Thad, Jude and the rest of the staff!
