We visited the Back Porch on October 5th, 2019 as part of opening day at The Barn Antiques. This was a truly novel experience where we filled-out a menu slip, took it to the register and received an order number for our table. Meals were brought out in a rustic-looking wooden picnic box. Eating outdoors provided a charming view. The foods were tasty and ample, and the lemonade was thirst-quenching. View all feedback.

My wife and I were planning a day trip and wanted to eat somewhere with outside dining, and decided to try the Back Porch. I really like the look of the place, kind of weathered and rambling. We were greeted warmly and had the pick of tables as we were the first ones in just a few minutes after opening. The restaurant has four dining areas, one when you first walk in, another close to the outside door (where we wound up sitting due to extremely hot weather that day), an outside area with view of the water, and another directly by the water. We both ordered the baskets, which come with your choice of a variety of soups, salads, sandwiches, and desert...all for less than $9. My special of the day; a turkey/brie/apple sandwich was delicious and my wife enjoyed her chicken salad...and really liked the cole slaw with blue cheese. The antique shop was closed for the Summer but we enjoyed exploring the Garden Shop....not much in the way of plants for sale but full of cool garden decorations tucked away in the meandering paths through the area. This a great place for a different dining experience and we will definitely return
What a great little place. Brought my daughter, had a great filling lunch, shopped and had frozen lemonade. Will be back again.
First time in Lake Alfred 's Back Porch located in an authentic farm house multi barn. No special frills, just a great lunch menu with a lot of different items to choose from. Very friendly staff, your food comes in a wooden box , all at the same time. But who cares, and if you want to eat your food with REAL silver ware, bring your own, (you snob). Lunch was delicious and straight to the point, no medium rare to medium stuff. Simple and tasty and prices you must love. Or do as they advertise, drive to Disney, only 30 minutes away and see if you get a FOUR course meal for less than 10. Darn, I had to eat with plastic utensils, but so what . My family and I loved it, and to those who leave this place not happy, THE BACK PORCH is already cooking up a storm for 30 years. Get it?
This is such a nice place to wind down and enjoy the day. Lunch is also nice. The staff there is very friendly and welcoming. I have introduced many people to the porch and the gift shops and they thank me many times over.
Perfect setting for lunch, Food reasonable and very good.. Good selection Daily Specials are the Best.
