"We've been eating at Jack's on a fairly regular basis for the past two years. The food was well prepared and occasionally we would see the chef talking with patrons about the food. About a month ago we noticed a change. The quality and taste seemed to be going down. Yesterday, after my chili cheese burger that I ordered medium rare was burned to a crisp we asked the waitress if there was a different chef. She said there was and that the previous chef had left in October. A sad day for Jack's and we won't be returning."

"Went here for breakfast after having the overpriced cafeteria food at Death Valley. This was a pleasant little place with good food that appreciated the business. A quintessential desert roadside diner with reasonable prices."

"A girlfriend and I recently visited Amargosa Valley on our way to Death Valley and stopped to see Big Dune. We ended up getting stuck and the owner of Martells came at towed us out at a fraction of the price. He and his wife were beyond kind to us and we were able to grab some snacks a big bottle of much needed wine before getting back on the road. If you're driving through make sure to stop here!"
