"We only went there for coffee, so can not comment on the food, but it looked delicious. They had friendly staff, outdoor seats with heating and plastic walls to protect us from the wind. Something difficult to see the sign"

"If you 're vegan (or even non vegan) I highly recommend Sunset Food and Wine!They didn 't get a Chef 's hat for nothing and their execution, finesse and talent truly shows in catering for my vegan request for their set menu (I did have to request this upfront at time of reservation).I COULD NOT fault anything that was placed in front of me as part of this starter, entrée, main and desert ensemble. Every element was perfect and so beautifully put together, I was absolutely blow away.My highlights from the meal was the potato rosti from the main and the chocolate moose and chia seed pudding.The portion sizes were perfect, well seasoned, elements were well balanced with taste and texture and delicately artful and with an amazing backdrop of the American River.For my meal it was only $68 in total (without beverages), and the best money I spent on dining in Kangaroo Island. I paid over twice as much for another 'fine dining ' experience, and unfortunately they were not even close to veganising their offerings as well as the Chef(s) at Sunset. I would have happily dined at two more times at Sunset and at the exact same meal, then the other fine dining experience I had.I would definitely dine again multiple times at Sunset Food and Wine when I travel to KI next!Thank you so much for the AMAZING experience and so deeply grateful that you could accommodate my vegan request"

"The queenscliff is a large family cube that serves a great selection of pub classics. the meals are fresh, well prepared and generous with a great price. the atmosphere in the dining room is casual and relaxed with friendly and entertaining staff. we have. here in kingscote, and it was a nice way to complete a great trip."
