We never fail to have a fabulous meal here with excellent service.We went with the whole family for a celebration in September and as a couple again last week.The food is tasty and delicious and the set menu offers great value for money.Staff are lovely, well trained, friendly and attentive.It is definitely one of our favourite places to eat and a real gem. Really enjoyed Gilbey’s Old Amersham. Quaint, cosy building, excellent staff. We went as part of a group of 4 and all ordered from the set Sunday lunch menu. Our main issue was that the main course roast plates all looked and felt ‘mass produced’ to a set menu price, pre-purchased in bulk, rather than individually prepared from joints of meat roasted on site.
