This place was GREAT. Wife and I were in area visiting a friend.Stopped for breakfast and place was 90 percent full. Service was still fast and very friendly. .....Food came quickly and was very good and hot.We split a country fried steak and eggs.Waitress actually split it in the kitchen and brought it to us on our own plate.Most places just bring us a extra plate and say there ya go.We also got a pancake.The syrup... What Adrian O’Leary doesn't like about Island Cafe:
It would be a one star if not for the service. Our server was great, very attentive and friendly. The food was terrible. Stale, bitter coffee. Canned soup and I swear the fish in the fish chips was frozen Gorton's. My first warning should have been that the place was deserted at noon. I'm guessing they stay open because tourists don't know any better. View all feedback.

Stopped in for a beer and clam chowder. The clam chowder was the best I have hadBut the service was a Zero. They were not friendly and acted like they did not want to be there. The server just walked by us, and slid the check across the bar. Didn't even ask how the food was or ask us if we wanted another drink. Paid and left.
