Last I checked on 9/30/16, this place is closed down, new owners yet again. New owners. Their Agave Supreme Burger is one of the best tasting, meatiest, unique burgers I've had in a long time. Service is excellent. Will definitely be coming back. View all feedback.
What Andrew H doesn't like about Agave Mexican Grill:
I just can 't get behind this business, for a couple reasons, but primarily for the food. I am, by no means, a snob or expert in Mexican food. I like pretty much all types. No matter how gringo or how authentic they may be. The food here really disappointed me. And it 's primarily because of one thing: the tortillas. They are easily the worst I have ever had. Most authentic Mexican Food I've in Alaska.... absolutely the best. Freshly made tortillas, the flavor is there in every bite. The service is awesome. We can't have enough.
From the moment we walked into the door the waitress was amazing. She was so friendly and upbeat and very welcoming. We had just landed and went straight from the airport to eat. We come from san Diego so we wanted to see how the mexican food matches up. The waitress told us it would not be like the mexican food we were used to. It was fusion of mexican. I had the seafood burrito and it was not what I expected but it was very good. Sweet and flavored with pineapple. The chips were amazing. Fried tortilla but comes out almost like a pastry. I would totally say try it out. We are going to try and go back before we fly home. Thank you Agave for making our entrance to Alaska so welcoming.
Wonderful customer service and the menu has a nice variety. Just found out they will work with you if you are looking for a party or cater. What? They offer a special menu for events?! I'll be calling for my next lunch meeting. I almost forgot to mention the amazing tamale I had for lunch.
The staff are absolutely wonderful. Being from San Diego it's hard to match up. But this place is incredible. Great food. Will come back again.
Best/most authentic mexican food I've had so far in alaska. The lady I spoke with was very sweet and made sure I knew exactly what I was ordering. Fresh tortillas, a fairly large menu and great flavor!
