I discovered that restaurant, conveniently located in the heart of the city, when I studied in angers in 2013. Since then I come to this place, year for year: the dishes are a beautiful fusion of two culinary cultures that has service. always, so far, on par to the quality of the kitchen. the best part, will always be the soss that they can eat, tons of rice, and the soam papdi~ if I have to eat alone with friends or... What Daniel Turner doesn't like about Thai L'Inde:
We expected decent Thai food but the kitchen was more fusion. Th place is popular and was full on a Wed evening. We were lucky to get a table f 5 ppl. The restaurant itself is nicely furnished. The Tom khan soup as a starter...was authentic and tasty. Pad Thai with prawns looked ok but they topped it wi5 a fried egg. It was not very tasty. Also they did not provide chilies to make it spicy. After all 4 out of Party o... View all feedback.
This is a great place to eat. The ambiance is super cool & ethnic. There's a nice courtyard behind a wall that's decked out with Budha's a fountain & Asian wall art. The food was great we had the Bombay Curry, the Dehli Chicken, & the Pad Thai, all were amazing. Try the coconut banana w/ tapioca desert, incredible. We were super pleased we ate here.
Unfortunately, if you value your health, you will have to avoid this place. The tables are small and quite close together. The restaurant does not use table cloths so when you sit down your cutlery is resting on the table top. As the couple next to us left a waiter arrived to clean their table with an old rag and a sprayer containing detergent. At less than a metre away we complained that we wished to be neither sprayed or have the smell of raw chemicals as we ate. The manager just could not see the health issues involved. Implements used to eat resting on tables impregnated with chemicals and sprays used while customers nearby are eating. All they wanted was to get the table ready for the next punters. Ingesting even small traces of these things is dangerous.
The waiters are very nice and smiley, the decoration pretty, the food is good even if not very tasty.
We arrived without a reservation, but were found a table inside, rather than the terrace. This has to be one of the best Thai meals I have ever had. The menu is quite limited, but the dishes we had were served quickly, tasted delicious. The service was prompt and attentive.
This used to be a good restaurant many years ago but now they don't do spicy food. I asked why and they said French people don't like spicy food - I know several who do - and they couldn't make it spicy. The waitresses are rude and almost threw the food in the table. Don't recommend it at all.
