"'Ground control to Major Dom(inic) '<br/ <br/ A La Grecque is an oddity. A Surf Coast oddity. The Great Ocean Road knows a fair bit of Greatness, but it has to peer in the Greek sphere when it comes to A La Grecque.<br/ <br/ The Dear Luncher is always on the move and this time it was the Surf Coast. A La Grecque has a real charm about it. Quiet and peaceful with no music and very little chatter upon entry. This was actually a little unsettling to begin with.<br/ <br/ Some starters were shared and main also ordered plenty of seafood and lamb for The Dear Luncher and his Lunching companions. As well as the saganaki. Well, specifically it was the grilled kephalograviera with watermelon rind pickle and pumpkin seeds. How 's that for eclectic? Not being completely smitten by octopus and squid, lamb for was the mainstay for Your Dear Luncher 's plate. For the entree: turkish flatbread, spiced lamb, herb salad, yoghurt tahini. This was probably the highlight.<br/ <br/ Others enjoyed fried local kalamari, taramosalata, fried hot yellow peppers as well as the char grilled octopus, pesto, fennel with grapefruit salad. All beautifully presented and enjoyed by all.<br/ <br/ For the main it was lamb again. Char grilled lamb rump. It was prepared medium rare and even though this does not bother Your Dear Luncher, one portion of it still had that white/fat element to it that looked and smelt quite overcooked. Apart from that one portion it was sensational.<br/ <br/ TL;DR etc.<br/ <br/ This is a must visit restaurant if you 're in the area."
