We stumbled on this shop when wandering around Annecy. It is without any doubt in the top echelon of take out/pre prep food shops on a world wide scale. Eventually and usually quite quickly any traveller has had enough restaurant food and wants cold salad type food to have a picnic either in the park or back at your hotel if you can. Pauvert Traiteur is an institution in Annecy, and as 'Meilleur Ouvrier de France ' it well might be. We have bought goodies here on several occasions over the years, from quiches to seafood salads, sandwiches etc......
