Contribute FeedbackKampai offers a mixed dining experience. Despite some disappointments with the sashimi and miso soup, the bento meals and sushi dishes received positive feedback. The staff was praised for being attentive, and the cleanliness of the place was noted as a concern for some. Prices were considered reasonable. Some may find the food portions small, while others appreciated the generous servings. Overall, Kampai provides a decent option for those craving Japanese cuisine, but improvements in some areas are needed to ensure a consistently positive experience.
We tried this place since we were craving for Ramen and we we were not disappointed. Food taste good but place is a bit small. Customer service is also good making sure we have everything we need. The food is a bit pricey for me considering the size of serving.
Moving to a new location. Not quite sure if they want to be a bar or a restaurant. Good food-- I was able to try their ramen, gyoza and katsudon. Note: the ramen is quite a lot.
I came prepared when I saw on our tour itinerary that we would be having lunch at Kampai Sushi Bar. I'm a sucker for anything seafood, despite being allergic to it. So I came prepared with my Anti-Histamine meds. Good thing I brought it, as I would've missed out on a lot of tasty treats from Kampai. We were served platters of the Ebi Tempura, California Maki, Crazy Maki, Sushi Platter, and Gyoza. I loved all of the dishes, but the Makis and Gyoza stood out for me the most!
Great selection of bentos and sushi. The Do It Yourself maki is tasty. The seaweed salad was refreshing. They have a tasty kani salad, as well as some delicious tempura and yakitori bentos. Six of us filled up for 2,100 pesos.
We had our late lunch here yesterday prior to watching Fantastic Beast. I've been wanting to eat some Japanese food again so we decided to dine here at Kampai. We've order bento meals - Beef Yakiniku and Ebi Bento and a platter of sashimi. The staff is nice and very attentive, i forgot his name, but he is really good :) Our bento meal's fine - beef is good although it's a little salty for me. The ebi tempura is ok, but the ebi itself is too small for a tempura. I'm somewhat disappointed with the sashimi - it was thinly sliced and the platter's not even good for sharing-- it's a little pricey. The miso soup isn't as tasty as it should be. The fish isn't fresh too, but yeah, i love sashimi. By the way, i asked the waiter to change my glass of water as there's a lipstick stain left on the glass. I don't know if they washed it before pouring the water or of they just wiped it off. Anyway, he gave me a new glass but i didn't bother drinking it. If you know what i mean. Btw, if you're looking for UNI, this isn't the place. They don't have it. But yeah, you may wanna give it a try. This is my 1st hand experience anyway.
