As a "dessert" my husband and I ordered 2 espresso at € 2.70. The toilets are in the basement. The manager told me the way and asked for my satisfaction. She was obviously pleased with the praise of the Reh and the great sauce. At first, she brought the expected hospitality to the day. We were fleeting with the number. Apparently it was time for the staff for the evening. And as it turned out in the short farewell talk, some have been in use since the morning. This day the service team was out of the air. During the visit of the gentlemen last year there was nothing to expose kindness. So if there are results, we will be happy to come back!

Bei unserem letzten Besuch haben wir die Kalbsleber gegessen, die Zunge und den Seeteufel.Alle drei Gerichte waren gewohnt gekonnt zubereitet und vom freundlichen Servicepersonal im Garten serviert.Das familiengeführte Haus, wo der Chef seine reichen Erfahrungen aus den Sterneküchen mitbringt, ist Grundlage für Inspiration,Konzept und Qualität !
Das Gasthaus Engel ist ein wirklicher Geheimtipp. Er liegt im Ortsteil Nesselried direkt an der Hauptstrasse und verfügt neben einem sehr schön gestalteten Gastraum auch über eine ruhige, große Terrasse.Wir können das Engeltöpfchen (Schweinemedaillons mit Pilzen und Spätzle, überbacken sehr empfehlen, aber auch das Cordon bleu oder die hausgemachte Roulade waren überaus lecker.Der Service ist sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und schnell.Wir kommen gern wieder ...
Wir waren zu dritt an einem heißen Maiwochentag dort. Die Auswahl an Speisen war leider etwas gering. Ein 3 Gang Menü bei der Hitze am MIttag war ausgeschlossen, so blieb nur ein Salat mit Putenstreifen und das Schnitzel sowie eine wenig ansprechende Schneckensuppe. Der Salat war wirklich lecker, aber nichts besonderes, die Schnitzel kamen zu zweit mit Fritten und vorher einem guten Salat. Naja, was kann man über Schweineschnitzel schon sagen ?? Sie waren ok, aber nichts, weshalb man in ein Gasthaus gehen wollte und 13 Euro bezahlen will. Die Suppe war ohne Fond und ohne Sahne und war eher fad.Die Überraschung war der Nachtisch: wirklich großartige Schokoladenmousse, Himebeersorbet und eine leider misslungene Créme brulée. Trotzdem das Highlight des Essens. Man wünscht sich fantasievollere Zwischengerichte und Vorspeisen, leicht und gern mit Gemüse angerichtet. Der Biergarten liegt wunderschön im Garten, der Service ist etwas unbeholfen aber freundlich. Die Preise sind ok, sollten aber nicht höher werden.
