"We had the soups and half sandwiches. Tomato basil soup with the triple cheese sandwich. Baked potato soup with the blt. Plenty bacon on the sandwich. We will be back many times. "I really am impressed with the variety of awesome food! We had on our table the classic burger, coconut shrimp, prime rib sandwich, and coconut crusted mahi! First the seafood fondue! Ended with pecan pie with bourbon ice cream and chocolate creme brulee! I tasted all of it and couldn't decide what I liked more. Chef G you're AWESOME! Everyone was so pleasant and personable! 5 stars from my family!"

"First time dining here and oh my gosh, our party of 4 loved it! They were busy and we had to wait a bit for service, but Nancy handled the situation well and we didn’t mind waiting. The cocktails were the bomb(kudos to the bartender) and I can recommend the Angels and Deamon, the Gimlit and the Zacapa Pina. My friends tried the Deviled Eggs and said they were excellent! The Poblano Pepper soup was so tasty and I enjoyed the house salad because the salad dressing was excellent. For dinner 3 of us had Shrimp Scampi and the shrimp were large and plentiful and the pasta and sauce delicious. My friend got the Drum fish w risotto and thought it was the best he’s ever had. Oh and the Brussel Sprouts (I ordered without cheese)tasted delicious!! Split a Chocolate Brûlée for dessert and it was excellent too. This restaurant has a great atmosphere and had a good vibe. We will definitely be back. Vegetarian options: They have some vegetable sides and I ordered my salad and Brussel sprouts without cheese. "I always enjoyed Tropical Café but lately they are gradually making a few changes that make them seem a bit careless. Recently I ordered a Capris Sandwich with a side of Corn with Jalapenos. The Sandwich was a bit cold and the Corn with Jalapenos was hot, wrap in saran wrap. The wrap was sticky, caved in and it surely did not look very hygienic. I brought it to their attention and was told, this is how the owner wants it. A similar situation happen when I order a smoothie, I asked for a ¼ tsp of sugar in it and they wanted to charge for the sugar which historically they never charged. I guess when someone gets very sick they will be more careful with hygiene and presentation."
