"Meson Irene used to be one of our favourite restaurants, which we'd visit every week whilst we were in Spain. However, during our last visit, the menus (and pricing) had undergone significant changes. Previously, wine was included on all set menus, (which were amazing value for money), and there was a wide choice available. Now the prices have increased significantly, but the quality just isn't there any longer. During this visit, my starter was inedible, the main course merely acceptable. I was so disappointed, I didn't want any dessert. The waiting staff are still lovely, and very helpful. I don't know whether Maison Irene is under new ownership or new management, but something is very wrong here. We haven't been back there for almost 5 months. I am keeping my eye out on the reviews, won't return till the reviews improve."

"The place itself. OK. Looks like it has not been updated since the 1970 's, but that would be fine if the food was good. It isn 't. The salad was terrible, just supermarket stuff from a bag with tomato and a few 'extras '. Presentation was dire. They charged €10 for this? The pizza itself was not cooked properly. The base was soggy and the mushrooms were clearly frozen. Other things were straight out of a can or jar. Fresh? You must be joking. ZERO flavour. Hardly any herbs... it was like eating limp plastic. One of the worst pizzas we have experienced in 12+ years of living here. It was over-priced, under-cooked, and the ingredients were disgracefully low quality. Once was enough. Never again. You 'd get a better experience from a 'fast food ' pizza place. Probably at half the price, too... give this place a miss, unless you enjoy masochistic dining experiences."

"Me and the good Lady Wife (GLW) have been to this bar several times. Always a warm welcome, a very attentive Spanish Barmaid, great selection of ice creams, GLW likes the Mint Chocolate Chip. Excellent beer, always served in a chilled glass that makes an...icy crust on the top of your beer. Not expensive, mainly Spanish use it. A great venue."
