"Good spot for a nice cold, soft drink or a coffee, etc. My husband had a piece of carrot cake, and I had a tasty tray bake. Waitress was very pleasant and helpful. "Comprehensive menu. Poppadoms were accompanied by 3 tasty dips, the salsa one being very spicy. Onion bhajis were good accompanied with another spicy sauce. The mains were delicious full of flavourful tender meat. Staff were friendly. Highly recommended."

"I won a meal for two in a Facebook compition whichI was delighted with .my sisters law and I went to cafe Essence last Thursday night and we had a wonderful evening. Soft music playing in the background and the food was mouth watering.The guy who served us was very attentive couldn't do enough for us I had Lemon crusted cod,garden peas,hand cut chips ,homemade tomato salsa which was all beautiful ,Pauline had chicken chassaurwith veg and hand cut chips for dessert we both had warm chocolate fudge cake with cream we were both stuffed to the gills a truly wonderful meal a beautiful way to spend a windy Thursday night Cafe Essence is a jewel in Bangors crown I would easy give them 11 out of 10 for the food.thank you Cafe Essence for a wonderful night.x"

"We went to lunch yesterday, I can't judge it high enough. we had no intention of having 3 courses at midday, but after the tasting of the starter main we were afraid to miss something by not having dessert. also instead of sharing as we have ordered one in the rule. it was all beautifully presented with aromen to fit. we cannot wait to try the rest of the menu (although I'm not sure I'll deviate far from the chocolate delice for dessert). I can't believe that it took us so long to visit, but we will not leave it long to visit again. I had a note on our booking to say that it was our first jubilee that we had a glass of fizz on the way in a "fortunate day" on the way out. beautiful hauch"
