"My husband booked us here on a Saturday afternoon. Greeted warmly from Glen and seated promptly. Our drink order was taken and time given to look over the menu. Good variety of food choices to choose from at reasonable prices. My husband had the chicken...strips and I chose the black pudding fritters, both were lovely. For mains my husband chose the steak pie which he highly recommended and I had the king scallops and mash, which were amazing. Pudding was the biscoff cheesecake and Eton mess Sunday, both were delicious. Would highly recommend and would return if back in the area."

"Finally ! Spirit of Selkie Tours Guides) took our guests to this wonderful hotel restaurant for Afternoon Tea. It was a beautiful Spring day and the large rear terrace has an uninterrupted view of the Atlantic Ocean and Islands dotted around the nearby coastline. The scones were awesome, warm huge and they were served with Strawberry jam and clotted cream. We also enjoyed Earl Grey tea. It came to £20 which is really great value and i'd not hesitate in recommending this cafe for tea. The hotel is privately owned and was a famous stop on the motoring map of Britain. You still come across classic sports cars doing road trips parked up overnight. You can't really fault this offering but as an ex hotelier restauranteur ....I'd ask mgt to buy some lovely china tea pots rather than dull stainless ones and give guests real linen napkins they don't blow away). Add a bit more to the bill and nudge up the luxury a tad. You're worth it and your guests will notice Looking forward to dining here more formally in future. Noteworthy details: The hotel sits in the grounds of beautiful gardens that are open to the public."
