Contribute FeedbackKabob Palace is a popular spot for flavorful and affordable Pakistani/Afghan food in the DMV area. While the atmosphere and cleanliness may not be top-notch, the food consistently impresses with fresh ingredients and delicious flavors. The restaurant can get busy, especially during peak times, but the quick turnover ensures that diners don't have to wait too long for their meals. The 24-hour operation and generous portions make Kabob Palace a must-visit destination for those craving kabobs and other Middle Eastern delights.
I stopped in for lunch while walking south from the Crystal City metro station. Despite the emphasis on kabab, they also had excellent falafel and samosa a vegan can eat here just fine! For takeaway, order at the counter and wait for your order, then walk down the street and eat in the park. Very nice.
Have been coming here for a decade. The food here is just great. Some items are prepared more quickly than others. Overall a huge win for cook to order kabobs.Food: 5/5
Have came a few times sporadically when you just want something flavorful but not a sit down. Don't expect this place to be fancy, but the food hits the spot mostly. I deducted some points for 1) the flow has always been chaotic, messy, annoying. There's no one way that patrons flow through the order queue, this is not a full service place, more like a cafeteria), often hovering over patrons sitting down for dinner. You also have get up to retrieve your food, wait for a table, etc. we had other groups try to snatch our table as we went up to pick up our cooked food after 20 mins of ordering. 2) the place isn't very immaculate. If you can tolerate a bit of hawker style clean, then you'll be ok. Finally, the wait for food can be long. We came at a time when the restaurant wasn't full ~5:45pm sunday) and there was no line but the food took 20 mins to come out. The place started to pick up around 7. Tip is to pick up the paper menu which has more options than what's displayed in the electronic/TV boards. And go for the mango lassi, they are delicious.
Best place to eat late dinner. Always busy. Foods are really good if you’re into Mediterranean or afghani food.Food: 4/5
