"The Black Bird was a short drive for us and the first word that came to mind, as we came to the door, in the evening, was "Rustic" - The interior is pleasant, with a lot of knick knacks displayed on the wall, which definitely add to the character of the place. The older wood boards and planks complete the look. My wife and I both ordered the Oscar steak, with shrimp & scallops. Both the shrimp and scallops were cooked to absolute perfection; What I enjoyed most about them was the fact that the Bernaise sause seemed to have permeated both foods, adding immensely to the enjoyment of the flavours. The steak, too, was cooked to a perfect medium rare, seasoned well and served expertly and pleasing to the eye. The taste of the meat was absolutely fantastic. If I had a single little nit-pick about the steak, it would be that the cut of meat could be a little higher; There was a fair amount of gristle in the cut, though by no means enough to rate it a bad meal at all - As I said: I minor nit-pick and constructive criticism. The pricing is definitely on the higher side. You *absolutely* get value for your money, in that you *will* leave with full bellies; If you have room for desert after both an appetizer and a main, then you have a far more efficient belly than I do! Over all, I would definitely recommend the Black Bird to friends."

"I'm surprised by all the negative reviews. I love this place, I've only had the pho abs vermicelli bowls but both are great. Service is standard pho restaurant service.. Which is fine with me."

"Used to work at a Subway. Double meat bacon and all the veggies and I could still close in without a geyser of sauce and veggies escaping.Here, they put the meat in the middle like a taco. Cheap on the meat as well.Wont look me in the eye as they close it and stuffs going everywhere.Argued me saying I wouldnt want the fresh bread because it was still warm inside and that Id prefer yesterdays shrunken, half stale loaf.Subway needs to train their employees better. Theres hardly any Subway employees that can make a loaded sub and close it properly.Sloppy Subway tacos that makes me not want to go back to the place."
