Every time we go back to Arona we stop at Retro for a bite. Nice sandwiches with great ingredients. My younger son had chicken wings and he loved them. For a quick bite it’s a perfect choice in Arona. View all feedback.
If you pop in here for aperitivo you’ll probably miss dinner! They give you such a huge plate of food, all of which was lovely. However we did find it odd the pizza had such a large doughy base
Popped in for aperitivo, and discovered they have a great range of gin. So we tasted a few local, some Italian and some French. The team there know their stuff. They have fever tree and Schweppes tonic. They serve a modern G&T in a large glass, and beware, the drinks are at least one and a half shots. The aperitivo plate is ok, and the service is very good. It's a busy bar, with outside seating in the place for good weather.

Dropped in here for a beer whilst waiting for our table at the Restaurant next door. Really great beer and finger food to go along with it. Friendly staff and very central location. Worth an evening visit for sure
We decided to have a pre lunch glass of wine (4 euros) and were given a plate with 3 slices of bread with the best smoked parma type ham, 3 with cured meat, 2 small sndwiches, a bowl with olives and gerkins and some crisps. We were too full to go for the intended fish and chips, the burgers looked too filling. Excellent service, with a smile, and good prices, worth walking to the end of the lake shore for.
