The food is simple but excellent. Probably the best place in town to eat out. Much better than the huge restaurant by the water where all the tourists go.

"What can I say, the Auberge du chateau was a needed arrival in Loudenville and boy did it deliver. The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming with an open fire on which meat in often cooked in front of you. The food is brilliant mountain grub with a protein packed menu that also caters to vegetarians, a feature not often seen in this part of france."
