What goldstones2 doesn't like about Ribbons Tea Room:
Lovely decor and staff. We had the afternoon tea which we were quite disappointed with. The sandwiches were like doorstops cut into smaller slices, the cake was quite dry and you only get one (big) piece of cake. This just isn’t what afternoon tea should be like, sandwiches should be dainty and there should be a selection of small cakes. Shan’t return. View all feedback.
The restaurant was absolutely lovely, with a fresh and inviting atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed the afternoon tea, with delicious sandwiches, scones, and beautifully presented cakes. We brought some of the cakes home to try later. The coffee was not to my liking, as I prefer strong coffee. I suggested replacing some of the large cake slices with small quiche bites for variety. Overall, we will definitely be returning to this charming place.
The owners of the tea rooms are very friendly and provide a personal touch that is rare to find nowadays, though it can be a bit expensive. The tea rooms are gluten and vegan friendly, offering real tea made from leaves and a strainer. The food is tasty and the cakes are especially delicious.
I had a wonderful birthday celebration at this charming tea room with a lovely ambiance. My sister treated me to afternoon tea which included delicious sandwiches, scones with jam and clotted cream, and a large pot of tea with proper tea leaves. It was a lovely experience and I will definitely be returning. I highly recommend this place to my family.

Lovely little place. We came here as a half way point on a long drive. We met up with my godmother who lives locally. She had never visited Ribbons before, but both of us will be back. Thank you for having us.
