"Quirky venue this place is just as he says on the line. an old fashion barge converted for on board and on river banks. the menu is not long because the more galereed would not allow it, but the selection meets most needs of people. owner and youthful. the owner is very passionate about her caffe. I started with a huh laksa, beautiful when gently seasoned and had a baguette with breakfast ingredient inside. good speck herby sausage and i.e. my mint hot chocolate was very exhausting. my partner had healthier but also delicious food. the inner of the barge still seems very authentic. friendly chatty staff, would recommend."

"We had a Sunday lunch and a mid-week evening meal at The Alma. Both were lovely. We were camping at Painter’s Farm, a 5min walk away so we’d booked to have lunch there once we’d pitched our tents on the Sunday. We found out they were having a charity quiz that evening and as it was too cold to sit outside, we decided to go back; what a hoot! Our team came last but we had such a laugh. Both the landlord and his team, as well as the locals were really friendly and made us feel really welcome. The landlady is the chef; and I must say, her Thai chicken curry was delish!"

"It is a couple of years since we visited this pretty pub.We met up here with friends today for a long overdue catchup. A beautiful hot sunny day and we sat in the pretty gardens in the welcome shade of the many trees. The service was polite and slick, our food an absolute delight. The food was hot and beautifully presented and delicious . We shall return again soon."

"Had a lovely afternoon tea today at this lovely tea room . Greeted with a smile lovely smell of homemade baking as we. Entered . Sandwiches fresh lovely bread great choice of fillings . Scones still hot Cakes to die for we had coffee and walnut and lemon drizzle with a butter cream and soft lemon filling . We will. Be returning thank u ladies"

"Ordered a chicken madras and was delighted with how fresh the ingredients were. Chicken was perfectly cooked, not this rubbery rubbish you find at some other places. Staff very friendly and service was efficient."
